What is an Endocrinologist? An endocrinologist is a healthcare provider who specializes in endocrinology, a field of medicine that studies conditions related to your hormones. An endocrinologist can diagnose endocrine conditions, develop treatment and management plans for them and prescribe medication. Why is the wait time long at the clinic? There could be a variety of reasons why the wait time at a clinic may be longer than expected. Some possible causes could include: 1. High patient volume: If the clinic is seeing a large number of patients, it may take longer for each person to be seen 2. Complex cases: Some patients may have more complex or time-consuming cases, which could cause the overall wait time to be longer. 3. Emergencies: If the clinic is experiencing a high number of emergencies, it may take longer for non-emergency cases to be seen But We understand your concern and normally we make sure that the average waiting time for any patient stays around 1 hour during peak hours and this cannot be reduced further as most of the patients want appointments on Weekdays evening or Weekends which would naturally increase the overall wait time during peak hours. We do have slack times during Weekdays afternoon but there are much less patients to prefer those timings for the consultation.

Is it required to do tests in the Clinic facility only or can I do tests from other lab?A doctor would usually advise doing tests under his or her supervision because it is otherwise not possible to recheck and correlate with certain lab parameters (like intra-day and inter-day control values, Percentage CV etcetera in PCOD). Obviously, patients (and even certain doctors) are not aware of these terminologies. However, this correlation is extremely important. For instance, an Orthopedician would want to do an Xray under his supervision, a gastroenterologist would want to do an endoscopy himself/herself. In the same way, an endocrinologist or hematologist would want to do the lab tests under supervision, just with the purpose of giving you a better diagnosis and treatment but ofcourse it is not a compulsion in most of the diseases, you can still have your tests done from other laboratories.

What is the purpose of sharing my medical history with an assistant doctor first and then with the doctor as well? Is it required?Yes, The medical officer/assistant doctor collects and reviews all your past medical history/reports, etc, and shares the details with the doctor with correct references. Sometimes, the patients are unable to clearly explain their medical history or they need the help of an assistant doctor to understand their issues and share them with the doctor. You might need to explain the same to the doctor as well in cases the doctor wants to be meticulous about your medical history before going for any treatment as it helps the doctor to understand the issues better and have some idea on how your body has reacted in past or what kind of treatment will be more effective for you.

Is it possible to do online consultation? How can I book one? Before you consult with a doctor online, it's important to understand how this type of consultation works and what you can expect. An online medical consultation is a way to get medical advice and answers to your health questions from a doctor via the internet. You can usually do this through a video call, chat, or email. This type of consultation can be helpful if you have a non-emergency medical question and don't need to see a doctor in person. It can also be a good option if you're unable to get an appointment with your regular doctor in a timely manner. In order to get the consultation online, please call our receptionsit to get more details +91-8980959302/8485990423.

What is the need for vital checks done by the clinic staff? The clinic staff is responsible for performing vital checks on all patients on their arrival at the clinic. This includes checking the patient's blood pressure, pulse, and respiration. The staff also checks the patient's body temperature and weight. Measuring vital signs is usually the first step in almost every medical evaluation. Doctors use these measurements to better understand how a person’s body is functioning and to detect possible health concerns. By monitoring a person’s vital signs consistently, such as at every health checkup, a doctor can establish a baseline for that person. Vital signs can then act as early warning flags. For example, a change in a person’s baseline measurements might point to an underlying illness or heart issue that has not yet been diagnosed.
